The north-east region of India is the most varied part of the country and at the same time the least visited. It comprises 7 states nestled above Bangladesh and next to Myanmar. In this episode we were here to discover Assam, home to about 25 million people. Much of the life of this state revolves around the Bhrama Putra River, born in the Himalayas in south west Tibetan China it passes through the near Indian states in to Bangladesh. A pathway that is steeped in rich cultural diversity and its tumultuous history.
