The Great Ocean Road is one of the most spectacular drives in the world, stretching 243 kilometers from Torquay to Allansford and it’s a fantastic destination to explore outside of Melbourne.
It was built by returning soldiers from WW1 between the years of 1919 to 1932 and is the world’s biggest War Memorial.
From Torquay is the more common way, as it places you at the Twelve Apostles in the afternoon for some wonderful photos. A reverse direction tour will avoid the crowds and gives you more chances to spot koalas in the wild.
