Last year was our first visit to the annual International Travel Expo (or ITE) in Ho Chi Minh City.
We enjoyed it so much, that in 2017 we came back to discover more about tourism trends in countries linked by the Mekong River and beyond… This year Japan, Indonesia and Turkey joined Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos and, of course, Vietnam in exhibiting at the Saigon Convention Centre.
International media and visitors to the event also had the opportunity to dive into the rich culture, cuisine and rich and also heart breaking history of Ho Chi Minh, while marveling at the frenetic pace of life. Represented too this year were a large group of ‘social media influencers’, (formally known as bloggers) who add a very millennial reminder of how we all choose our top trip tips today
