Yogya is one of the foremost cultural regions of Central Java. Here we visit the city’s crumbling Water Palace where it’s hard to imagine that these sandstone ruins were once the pleasure gardens of a wealthy ruler. Further on we continue to Kotagede, the center of the Yogya silver work industry and then on to an historic site that never fails to inspire any visitor, the Prambanan Temple.
