This adventure starts in the city of Guwahati in the Indian state of Assam. Guwahati is a sprawling city beside the Brahmaputra River in the northeast Indian state of Assam. It’s known for holy sites like the hilltop Kamakhya Temple and for tea production. The region produces 60% of India’s tea. Our main objective for the day was to visit one of the key areas for wildlife in India – the Kaziranga National Park to search for the elusive white rhinoceros. We were in luck!
