The smiles and hospitality of Sri Lanka are world famous and so are its spicy food, exotic fruits, and an array of sweetmeats found nowhere in the world. With so many cultures living next to each other life in Sri Lanka continues among a series of festivities throughout the year, an ideal recipe for fun and leisure.
In this episode we start in Negombo. With a wide sandy beach, big hotels, and handy proximity to Colombo, Negombo is one of Sri Lanka’s most popular resorts. Beyond its sands lies an interesting mix: a colonial-built canal and crumbled fort; a lively fish market, traditional fishing communities, and a wildlife-rich lagoon.
Afterwards we travel to Colombo and visit the famous historic Colombo Cricket Club. Sri Lanka has a rich cricketing history, producing countless great players that have graced the international stage. While we are there we meet the English Cricket Team who happen to be there on tour.
